"At UNH workshop, science teachers 'sea' better understanding of ocean data"




UNH’s Coastal Observing Center has developed a chapter for the Earth Exploration Toolbook entitled "When is Dinner Served? Predicting the Spring Phytoplankton Bloom in the Gulf of Maine." This chapter was featured on Bridge, the ocean education website, as the teachers' top web pick for May, 2005. The teacher who reviewed it said it was a "must for anyone teaching marine science.


 

On September 27, 2004, the University of New Hampshire hosted an official U.S. Senate hearing on the Ocean Commission Report. Two posters were presented by COOA showing the connection of COOA to the US Commission on Ocean Policy.
