One of the best ways to understand changes in the ocean is to see the ocean as a satellite does. Images can be viewed individually or run as an animated movie. We’ve created 8-day composite images of chlorophyll and sea surface temperature for the Gulf of Maine that range from 2002-2005.

The Open Ocean Aquaculture (OOA) project is a moored buoy-monitoring program that measures wave characteristics, water temperature and salinity, water current speed and direction profiles, turbidity, and chlorophyll.
