The Great Bay Coastal Buoy is located at 43.0715 degrees N and 70.8678 degrees W, near Portsmouth, NH. The buoy records a suite of measurements and these observations are updated regularly on this page. We have recovered the buoy for the season. Please check back in early April as we begin our eighth year of biogeochemical and optical monitoring in the Great Bay Estuary!

Interpreting These Graphs

The graphs to the left show recent observations at the Great Bay Coastal Buoy as compared to historical measurements made in Great Bay over the last 13 years. The colors represent the percentages of all observations during this 13 year period that fall within a specific range.
