We collect vertically discrete zooplankton samples with the MOCNESS (Multiple Opening Closing Net and Environmental Sensing System). An on-board pressure sensor enables us to know the range sampled by each net. Temperature and Salinity sensors provide environmental data throughout the tow. The maxima, minima, and averages are provided in the dataset. If you are unsure about an abbreviation, see the list of Variables.

(Depth ranges sampled by each net vary from station to station. For this reason, depths are listed by qualitative titles with approximate ranges in parentheses. For example, the "deep" net will not sample down to 100 meters at station WB2, where it is only 60 meters deep.)
